Aire Valley Jam Fundraising for The Swan Song Project.

George Quinn – A local musician is organising a special jam session style event featuring many of the regions finest musicians. The music will be non-stop with musicians interchanging between songs with many playing live together for the first time. It is sure to be a one of a kind performance and will feature many well loved songs.

The event is raising money for 2 local charities close to George’s heart, The Swan Song Project that helps terminally ill and bereaved people to write original songs and The Bradford Central Food Bank.

George said:

‘Helping people can only ever be positive and what better medium is there to get the message across other than with music? There’s a lot of good people out there struggling away with life and its associated troubles and I guess I just wanted to help, like others have helped me in the past. Before we even start the event Id like to thank all the people who have given up their time and resource in doing something good. We are lucky here, in this slice of West Yorkshire, to have a community willing to help others.’

Ben Buddy Slack, founder of The Swan Song Project said:

“We are so chuffed George chose to support The Swan Song Project with this event. It is going to be a great show and a lot of fun for the musicians as well I’m sure. Swan Song is still a very small charity and fundraising is a constant challenge so events like this make a huge difference to our ability to keep offering our services. We are really grateful to all of the musicians who support our work and know how powerful music can be”

The event is taking place at The Caroline Street Social Club in Saltaire on Sunday 28th April from 2 – 6pm.

There will be a raffle with over 20 prizes to be won, a cake stall, a pizza truck and a drop off point for donations to the food bank.
