Lyrics

I used to think it was just a place to die,

A place of sadness and a place to cry,

And I didn’t want to walk through the door,

Since I did I’ve found it’s so much more,

I was struck by the people working here,

Tranquility and peace and no fear,

The nurses and the volunteers will do,

Anything that you want them too,

Peace of mind is what you’ll find,

It’ll help you clear the worries from your mind,

Come all you people and see,

It’s a place of peace and tranquility,

The feeling that I get from being here,

Lifts my heart and makes things disappear,

You’re not just a patient passing through,

They take the time to get to know you,

They treat you with respect and dignity,

Then again you will feel tranquility,

Peace of mind is what you’ll find,

It’ll help you clear the worries from your mind,

Come all you people and see,

It’s a place of peace and tranquility,

We come here once a week it’s like a club,

And everybody’s spirits are lifted up,

It’s not just a pace to die, it’s a pace where I can cry,

Marie Curie is the place for me.
