A Choir Conductors Journey

Home is to me,

Security and Love.

Safety and comfort,

and the good Lord above.

My family and friends,

made light of any load.

Along with St Michaels church,

down on Dewsbury Road.

I went train spotting,

with my cousin Colin.

Down in Donny’ Station,

steam trains were calling.

Trinity means the world to me,

Belle Vue a spiritual home.

I’ve graced the home of the Union,

walked through the gates on Kirkstall Lane.

These three games,

in my life have reigned.

Love is to me,

parents so true.

Jeremy, Jonathon, Elizabeth and Nicola to.

With Diane by my side,

it was easy to thrive.

We walked through this world,

making dreams come alive.

Those trips to Whitby,

fish and chips made our day.

Our hearts beating strong,

on the Moors railway.

To the land of the Dragons,

we’d always make haste.

Along with Whitby,

a favourite place.

The Choir,

makes a heavenly sound.

Songs of worship,

all around.

A bass and a tenor,

makes a sound so true.

The Lords word,

will always shine on through.
